Durham police believe stabbing on Sunday, April 14, in downtown Oshawa is an isolated incident.
The victim, 26, was located around 4:40 p.m. on April 14 by officers in the area of Bruce Street and Simcoe Street South and then taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious condition, say police.
In a news release April 15, police said the man’s condition had been upgraded to stable.

Through an investigation, officers determined the victim and another man were in a “minor altercation” prior to the alleged stabbing.
The suspect is between 20- and 30-years-old and was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie with a swoosh pattern on the front, dark-coloured track pants with a white stripe down the legs and a medical mask.
